Camila Cabello pede desculpas por comentários racistas do passado
Nesta quarta-feira (18), a cantora Camila Cabello se manifestou acerca de textos com palavras de cunho racista, publicados por ela em 2012. Em antigas publicações de sua página no Tumbler, Camila utilizou palavras como “nigga” e “nigger”, considerados racistas na língua inglesa por remeterem aos tempos da escravidão.
A cantora utilizou de sua rede social, Instagram, para pedir desculpas por seus comentários. Em seu Stories ela publicou um texto que diz:
“Quando eu era mais nova, usava uma linguagem que sou profundamente envergonhada e que vou me arrepender pra sempre. Eu era ignorante e uma vez que tive consciência da história, do peso e do verdadeiro significado deste linguajar, me senti profundamente envergonhada por usá-lo […] esses erros não representam a pessoa que sou ou a pessoa que tenho sido. Eu só apoio e sempre apoiei o amor e a inclusão, e meu coração nunca sentiu esse tipo de ódio ou de divisão.”
